On September 7, the staff of Agape Christi Academy welcomed students and families to our ninth year of operation! Nine years the Lord has blessed us, heard our prayers, met and exceeded our financial needs, and this year, expanded our classrooms to more than 100 joyful children! We bless the Lord and give Him thanks for He abounds in goodness and mercy!
With the start of the new school year and for some, the start of a brand new school, it’s good to also start at the beginning of why we’re doing what we’re doing. What’s the purpose of a school? What’s the purpose of education? When Mr. Jed Culbertson, our Headmaster, stood before the student body and their parents on our first morning assembly, he asked that same question. The answer is found in the Bible verse that is always our first memory verse of the year: we come to school to know — to “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; the faithful God Who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.” (Deuteronomy 7:9) The purpose of education is to know the God who created education, and to know everything else that He has made. And so we have a lot of glorious work ahead of us!
